A true club stalwart, Matt has been packing down in the front row for Emanuel School and OERFC for over 30 years—and can still be spotted reffing matches around Surrey.
Matt’s dedication to grassroots rugby and Old Emanuel runs incredibly deep. Beyond his decades on the pitch at Blagdons, he served as the club's former Treasurer and was named National Club Volunteer of the Year at the National Rugby Awards. His contributions to the club have also earned him the well-deserved title of OERFC Vice President. When he isn’t playing or supporting OERFC, Matt remains heavily involved in the sport as a qualified RFU referee with the London Society and a panel member of the RFU’s independent disciplinary judiciary.
Outside of the rugby world, Matt is a highly respected Solicitor-Advocate, Mediator, Arbitrator, and Deputy District Judge specialising in real estate litigation.
